I had started as a game, now I find myself with more than twenty, microscopic and tender future trees 🌲 (mainly fruit trees)!
April is Earth Month 🌎🌍 and, together with Trees For The Future, to celebrate it, I will share with you several articles on how you can start planting trees and start making a difference.
One Sunday I was having lunch with my best friend and her family; I decide to end my meal with a nice juicy apple 🍏.
Cut in half, I immediately notice the nice little black seeds 🫘. I decide to take them and keep them in a humidified paper towel. I put them in an airtight transparent container and wait a few days; why not.
After two weeks I open the lid and I see these wonderful seeds not only with perfectly developed roots; but also with beautiful green sprouts 🌱! I put them in a jar and the next day I had already noticed that they literally exploded!
From that lunch alone I got four apple trees.
Four out of five, because one unfortunately developed a lot of mold and failed to grow.
So, after this short story with a happy ending, the first thing I would suggest to start this fantastic month off right and help our beloved land is to keep the seeds aside and always try to cultivate them with love and care.
Try any seed! You might not even succeed the first few times; many of my attempts have not been successful, such as: Dragon Fruit, Papaya, Walnut, Kiwi, Tamarillo… but they all taught me how to improve cultivation and they didn’t demotivate me, but they spurred me to always do better!
