Hello 👋🏻 sweethearts! 💛 Today I will explain step by step how to successfully germinate a mango 🥭 seed; and not only! Also how to maintain your new, future, sapling.

First thing: buy a mango 🥭 (always better if organic and local, so as to have fewer treatments); nice ripe.

Open it in a half 🔪.
Once opened: extract the seed (be careful, it’s pretty hard to extract it).

Take your seed and wrap it in a cloth napkin.
We moisten 💦 the napkin well and place it in a transparent container with an airtight seal in a well-lit place, perhaps near a window 🪟.

We check daily that the seed is in good condition and that no mold has developed.

It may take weeks before you see a well-developed root. This will depend on the period in which you will do the experiment and on the seed, therefore: do not despair! Nature can always surprise us and in a thousand ways.

When the root is long enough (about 2 centimeters) you can move your seed from the container to a new pot with soil.

Use a well-draining soil, it will be enough for you to do just that: 50% soil, 50% leca. Leave the seed out of the ground, leaning. The seed will be the fertilizer of your new seedling. Until it wears out: you don’t need to fertilize it.
Do not wet it 💧, let it settle for about one week 📅 , then water generously.

My beloved mango 🥭 thrives happily outside all year round (I live in a mild climate), but if you are growing your mango in the winter❄️, I recommend taking it outside in the spring 🌸. I placed it under a tree, protected from direct sunlight ☀️.

Let me know if my method helped you, or as you did and contact me for anything; I’m here for you!

Love you, bye! 💗
